Verna Reuther

Verna Reuther, 90, Bismarck, passed away July 7, 2018.   Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday, July 9 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 10 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 801 E Denver Ave, Bismarck, with Rev. Lester Wolfgram officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at 4:00pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck, ND. Verna Bornemann was born September 22, 1927 to Henry and Emma (Hintz), in Hannover, ND. She was baptized October 9, 1927 and confirmed April 12, 1942 at St. Peters Lutheran Church. She graduated high school in Center and attended Dickinson College. Verna married Herbert Reuther on November 11, 1950. Verna was a charter member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. She was an active member of LWML. Verna loved to bake, garden, travel, babysit, fish, go for walks and watch the MN Twins. Her true love was volunteering and helping others. She is survived by her children, Dwight Reuther and Darlene Kautzman (Brad); grandchildren, Rhonda (Dean Fischer), Jon, Cody and Cayle; and great-grandchildren, Kali and Breier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert on July 2, 2004 and grandson, Casey Kautzman, and numerous other relatives.
