Vernon Stenerson, 77, Baldwin, passed away at his home on April 7, 2017, with his family by his side.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday, April 11, at the Mandan United Methodist Church, 610 12th St NW, with Pastor Bruce Adams officiating.
Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Vernon was born March 21, 1940, at Brien, ND, the son of Charles and Lydia (Renschler) Stenerson, and grew up in the McKenzie, Sterling, and Driscoll areas. In 1997 Vernon purchased land NE of Bismarck and took great pride in his new place. He was a very dedicated transport driver for Northern Improvement for 49 years; he was employee of the year in 1996, and was also awarded a safety award that same year.
On September 6, 1963, Vernon married Faye Huhncke at the Steele United Methodist Church; and to this union a son, Lennie, and a daughter, Lisa, were born.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Faye; son, Lennie; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Travis Miller; and three grandchildren, Taran, Tanner, and Tori, all of Baldwin; three brothers and five sisters, Alvin (Iris), Bismarck, Kenny, Salem, OR, Marvin (Karen), Missoula, MT, Grace Munsch, Bismarck, Shirley Morris, Bismarck, Betty (George) Robinson, Bismarck, Doris Stenerson, Covington, WA, Joyce (Todd) Green, French Town, MT; many nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Carol Stenerson, Bismarck.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles Jr. and Clarence; nephew, Scott Busby; and brother-in-law, Elmer.
