Virginia Martin Schuler, 89, from Las Vegas passed away at Valley Hospital on March 3, 2025.
Born to Adolph Schuler and Dorothy Schlittenhart in Wilton, North Dakota.
In 1940, family moved to a farm in Baldwin, North Dakota, where she and her brothers and sisters were raised. She went to Wilton Jr. and Sr. High and then to Bismarck High School.
In 1963, she met Gerald Martin, and they were married in 1964 and moved to Riverside, California where they lived with his Aunt Mattie Kolman. After a short time, they moved to Tonopah, Nevada and then to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1965.
In her life she was a wife, homemaker and babysitter. She worked for RJ Herbies Kline, delivering newspaper bundles. She also helped her husband's company and drove a Front-End Loader. From 1987-2002 worked for Teamster 631 Union Convention Labor.
Her hobbies were sewing, ceramics, and making quilts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Martin; son, David Martin; brothers, Alden, Melvin, and Marvin Schuler all of Bismarck, Norvel Schuler of Baldwin; and sister, Janet Hogian of Bismarck.
She is survived by son, Gregory Martin and daughter, Rhonda Martin of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Marlys Fricke of Bismarck; and several nieces and nephews.
Virginia was always caring.
A graveside service will be held at Baldwin Cemetery at 11:00 AM on April 12, 2025.
