Virginia Michlitsch

Virginia Michlitsch, 90, Bismarck, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 East Divide Ave, Bismarck. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, at Eastgate Funeral Service. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.

Virginia Mary was born April 14, 1929, in Bismarck to Albert and Nettie (Poole) Gray.  She was educated in Bismarck where she has resided all her life.

Virginia married Joseph Michlitsch on November 9, 1943 in Bismarck.  She was employed as a dietary aide at St. Alexius Hospital for 30 years.  She and Joe were members of St. Anne’s Catholic Church.

Virginia was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her two sons and their wives, Dennis and Shari Michlitsch of Atlanta, GA and Robert and Roxann Michlitsch of Bismarck; her daughter, Donna Schmidt of Salt Lake City, UT; grandchildren Zachary Michlitsch, Cheri, Michael and Scott Schmidt, Lora Lynn Jundt, Teri Murphy, Sara Timmer, Steven Michlitsch, and Cody Dachtler; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; her daughter, Sandra; grandson, Derek Michlitsch; and her sisters, Alberta Funston and Nan Kleven.
