Bill was born on December 5, 1933, at Creighton, SD to Erhard & Helen Eisenbraun. He spent his young life in South Dakota.
He married Sylvia Schuler on June 4, 1954. In August, Bill joined the army and was stationed in Germany for a year. He returned home to attend South Dakota State School of Mines and Technology where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1958. He moved his family to Bismarck when he joined Montana Dakota Utilities, where he worked until he retired in 1995, as the Director of Power Distribution.
Bill was very active in the church, serving as Sunday School Superintendent, Treasurer, and a member of Church Council for many years. He also loved working with wood and built many treasured pieces for his children and grandchildren, as well as being the “go to” person for any questions regarding home repairs. He was always willing to help everyone with their projects. He was an avid fisherman and spent lots of family time camping, fishing and hunting.
Bill suffered a stroke in 2021 causing him and Sylvia to leave their home of over 60 years which was very difficult for them. Through the years, he was never afraid to join his Savior, and his faith gave him much comfort.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Ila Jane and Linda; and his son, Corey.
He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Sylvia; daughter, Crystal (Murray) Lawrance; son, Calvin (Tina); daughter-in-law, Carmen (Corey); sister, LuErna Sawyer; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Bill’s legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire his family for generations to come.
