Bill attended public schools in Bismarck and Mandan. He began working when he was 12 years of age delivering the Mandan Pioneer Newspaper. At the age of 15, he went to work for Pepsi-Cola. Bill was a dedicated and hardworking individual who found fulfillment in his 40-year career as a warehouse worker, employed by both Pepsi and Coke. He approached his work with diligence and a commitment to excellence, earning the respect of his colleagues and supervisors.
Bill met the love of his life, Esther Doll, in 1966, through a mutual friend. They enjoyed memorable times at the Sweet Shop. They were married on September 2, 1967. Together they enjoyed 57 wonderful years bowling, throwing darts, traveling, camping, and enjoying their fury family members April and Jessica.
Outside of work, William had a true passion for bowling, spending countless hours at the local lanes. His incredible skills were recognized and celebrated as he was proudly inducted into the prestigious Bismarck/Mandan Bowling Hall of Fame. William's love for the sport brought him great joy and countless cherished memories with friends and fellow bowlers. Bill enjoyed his friends and looked forward to his outings at Kroll's Restaurant and Jack's Steakhouse.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Esther; brothers Lester (Barb) Williams and Francis (Cathy) Williams; sister Patricia Bouchee, brothers-in-law, Joseph Doll and Ed Doll (Lutene Roth); sister-in-law, Donna Doll, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law, Michael Doll and Henry Bouchee.
In this time of mourning, let us come together to support and comfort Esther and her family. May we find strength in each other and celebrate the memories that William has left behind.
In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Bismarck/Mandan Junior Bowling League.
Rest in peace, dear William. You will always be remembered and forever missed.
