Barbara K. Reis, 82, Bismarck, passed away Nov. 30, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. The rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m.

Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Barbara was born July 8, 1939 in Bismarck, the daughter of John and Clementine Ehli. She grew up and attended schools in Bismarck. On February 26, 1962 she married Peter Reis at St. Anne’s Church, Bismarck. They made their home in Bismarck and Lincoln, where they raised their 10 children. Mr. Reis passed away in 1988.

In her downtime, she enjoyed traveling to visit family and spending time at the lake. She also enjoyed baking, listening to music and the polka party, and coloring to relax. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, or as she always called them her babies.

Barbara is survived by her children, Peter (Valerie) III, Carson, Daniel, Carson, Denise (Danny) Clark, Mandan, Barbara (Nathan) Selchert, Jamestown, Frank (Marilyn), Bismarck, Elizabeth (Joseph) Renner, Gillette, Wyo., and Carolyn Reis, Bismarck; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Virginia (Don) Cook, Bismarck, Beverly Doll, Bismarck, Gloria Hoff, Bismarck, Anita (Wayne) Emil, Charlotte Bender, Bismarck, and Michael Ehli, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; her parents; three children, Julia Erickson, Rose (Keith) Grimm and David Reis; sister, Linda Gebhardt; and brother, Raymond Ehli.
