Debbie Sailer

November 8, 1955 — August 15, 2022

Debbie Jean (Hager) Sailer passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on August 15th, 2022.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 22, at the Bismarck Community Church, 1617 Michigan Ave, Bismarck.

She was born to Alex and Regina (Babe) Hager on November 8th, 1955. She attended school in Bismarck, where she met her “Denny” Dennis Sailer. They were married November 17th, 1973. They lived mostly in Bismarck, except when they lived in Iowa when Dennis was in Chiropractic College.

Debbie worked everywhere she went, but she was employed at Herberger’s, Silbernagel Eye Clinic, Dr. Huisinger Chiropractic Clinic, Chiropractic CareCentre, and Eastgate Funeral Service. Her favorite job was being at home.

Debbie was best known for her cooking, (defective) baking, cleaning, and sharing her latest crafting item. Debbie loved children, she always had a kiss or a pinch ready for their cheeks. Debbie’s love for the Lord was no secret, she spread that love through her service at Bismarck Community Church. Debbie loved everything except wasps and anyone coming up behind her, she would let out a scream that would scare everyone in the room. Debbie loved her families and always left with a kiss, a hug and an I love you. Debbie loved a cool day and was known to wear a short-sleeved blouse even in ND winters. Debbie always had her hair and makeup done before seen by anyone. We all loved a Debbie story, she was either changing her voice or acting it out, which entertained everyone listening.

Debbie will be missed by her loving husband, Dennis; sisters, Sharon (Lyle) Chellen, Shirley Dawson, Patty (Jody) Dawson; sister-in-law, Deb Hager; brothers-in-law, Dwight, Gil (Sue), Keith (MaryJane), Ivan (Shelia), sisters-in-law, Carol (Duane) Voegele, Judy (Don) Meidinger, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex & Regina (Babe) Hager; her brothers, Sandy (Alex) and Rodney Hager; brother-in-law, Wendell Dawson; father and mother-in-law, Benjamin & Helen Sailer, Deborah (Dielkes) Sailer and great-niece, Mabel Rae Askay.

Debbie would not want you to spend money on flowers, instead give to your favorite charity or go out and enjoy a meal in her honor.
