Lisa was born June 18, 1973, to Bill and Linda Hixson. The first of five siblings Bob, Laura, Jenny, and Thomas. She attended Highland Acres Grade School, Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, St. Mary’s Central High School, and NDSU. In 1996, she was blessed with a beautiful daughter Amanda who was her pride and joy. In 2009, she married the love of her life Russ Moltzen and made a family with Amanda and her Goldendoodles Roscoe, Cooper, and Hazel, where the adventures began.
She loved fishing, camping, and family time at her dad’s lake cabin and in her backyard. She loved to cook, decorate the house, and use any excuse to entertain – be it football, a golf tournament, or a horse race. Over the years, Lisa worked many jobs in the hospitality industry, including many years at the family-owned Peacock Alley. In 2009, she took a job as Director of Sales at Regency Hotel Management and was promoted to Regional Director of Sales in 2014. Lisa served on the board of the North Dakota Hospitality Association and the ND Gaming Alliance. She was professional and extremely organized in everything she did. Lisa was the best at planning events for others and was beloved by all of her family as she organized family reunions and holidays. Always smiling and bubbly, she was a force that will leave a huge void on this large family, her many friends, and all who knew her.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Russell Moltzen; daughter, Amanda Hixson; father, Bill (Patti) Hixson; mother, Linda (Joel) Maixner; mother-in-law, Judith Moltzen; father-in-law, Lyle (Peggy) Moltzen; brother Bob (Stef) Hixson; two sisters, Laura (Neal) Scott and Jenny (Darrell) Mathews; stepbrother, Kelly (Margaret) Maixner; stepsisters, Chantel (Darin) Hartl, Joelean (Channon) Lowman, and Becca (Mike) Stradiot; brother-in-law, Jeff (Lea Hagerty) Moltzen; sister-in-law, Cassandra (Jim) Colling; her nieces and nephews, William, Hannah, Matthew, Adam, Kaylee, Joey, Ava, Layla, Jordan, Madison, and Halie; her step nieces and nephews; her Goldendoodles, Roscoe, Cooper, and Hazel; and a boatload of uncles, aunts, and cousins that will miss her dearly.
