Sherry Lea Tang, Bismarck, gave her eternal notice. Her work here is done. Although she had lots of fight left for the cancer, she received an offer too good to refuse. This offer comes with a reunion of family, friends, and beloved pets she has not seen in too long. Although we can’t confirm it, we believe the offer came with a credit card with no limit, online shopping that’s never out of stock in size or color options, and discount prices. The offer was perfect, except for leaving behind her two favorite people, grandsons, Camden and Beckett.
Her last day with us was March 8, 2022. She moved on, leaving her indelible and positive impression of life with us forever.
A prayer service will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Sherry's family will begin greeting guests at 5 p.m.
Sherry was born on February 24, 1964, in Moorhead, Minnesota, to Dennis and Beverley (Tangen) Tang. She was the oldest of three children, fearlessly leading the way for Kevin and Pamela. She attended grade school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, before moving to Fargo in 1973. Sherry’s family moved to Bismarck in 1978, where she graduated from Century High School in 1982. Out of high school, Sherry worked various jobs before finding her profession helping others through the business office at what would become Sanford Hospital, where she worked for over 30 years.
By far, Sherry’s greatest happiness and achievement in life was her role as “Blue Gramma.” From the moment she found out about her first grandson, she wore blue and never looked back. She got lots of practice for her role as grandma by first raising her daughter, Erica, and son, Adam (the favorite).
Joining her on her journey here was her soulmate, Kenneth Osowski, who watched over her until the moment she moved on.
Mom, you gave us a great model. If we can make people laugh half as hard as you did, show love half as much as you did, and be half as positive as you were, the world will be a better place. We will do the best to follow the instructions you left us on how to lead a good life, but your descriptions weren’t always the easiest to follow, so leave us a clue if we’re doing it wrong.
Sherry will be deeply missed by Kenneth Osowski, Bismarck; her children, Erica (Joe) Houn, Bismarck; Adam Osowski (Sara Durham), Fargo; grandsons, Camden and Beckett Houn; her parents, Dennis Tang and Beverley Tang, both of Bismarck; her siblings, Kevin (Lea) Tang, Gwinner; Pamela (Ronald) Lee, Bismarck; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sherry was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melgard and Annie Tangen, and Sylvester and Vivian Tang; and her beloved pets throughout the years.
